Hi I'm Ed Starks

I'm from Mesa, AZ. I love my wife, family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dad of 5 children from 1 to 15. I work full time as a behavioral health tech. I am also a part time student at a community college. I am married to my best friend. I love the outdoors. I love hunting and target shooting. I also reload my own ammunition. It is fun! I love to talk to people and really enjoy listening to people and getting to know them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I chose to go out into the world about age 15 but never lost sight of my upbringing. I used drugs and alcohol and I lived well outside of my chosen standards for today but in all of that I never forgot that my Father in Heaven loved me. I was always supported by my family and in the end it was my own family that brought me back. My wife encouraged me to go where i knew God was and I felt that small testimony of truth swell in me when I had to choose where to go. I returned to the church and after some time was able to baptize my wife and my oldest child. Since I have been an active member. That was 7 years ago. I know that regardless of what things I have done that I can be forgiven through the atonement of Jesus Christ. It comforts me to know that my Savior loved me individually and personally enough to suffer and die so that I could be forgiven and return to live with my eternal family and my Father in Heaven for eternity.

How I live my faith

At church I have served in different capacities. I have helped with the Men's orginization and I have also taught children in Sunday school. I also have been a nursery leader. I really love teaching children. It is a great experience to help God's little ones learn the truth and to help them to find comfort in God and our Savior Jesus Christ.
