Hi I'm Richie

I'm a student. I'm a personal trainer. I'm a practical joker, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm nothing too special really. Just an average guy from a pretty average place. I grew up out in the country and that's the way I like it. I've had a lot of experiences in my life that have shaped who I am today. I'm very outspoken about what I believe in and never hesitate to speak my mind. I'm never afraid to be myself even though sometimes I should be. I believe that the world around us can change, but that it has to start from within. Each and every one of us has the ability to make our little piece of the world better through self dicipline and the teachings of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

It gives me hope, to put it simply. Hope for a better world to come, hope that everything will be okay in the end, hope that the world can still change. That feeling is so reassuring and I find a lot of comfort in knowing that no matter what happens, where we go, what we do, the Savior is still there reaching out to us. I am a Mormon because, the teachings of the Church and Savior have helped me to enhance the quality of my life and strengthen the relationships that I have with my family and friends.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my very best to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the direction He has given to me through modern day prophets and revealed scripture. Its not easy really and I don't think that it ever will be but I know it has definitely been worth it. A lot of people think that as members of the Church we have too many rules to live by. A lot of people think that being a part of this religion is too hard and ask "What if it turns out not to be true." In respone to that I think "Even if at the end of the day it turns out that it wasn't true, at least I lived a good life of loving my family and serving my neighbors."

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Its knowing that something is true from the bottom of your heart to the tips of your toes. Its this feeling that we get when we hear something that is true. There are so few things in this world that are absolutely 100% true that when we find one we need to hold on to it with everything that we have. Show more Show less
