Hi I'm Will

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have had a very blessed life. I was born and raised in California and I am currently attend college out of state. I love anything to do with sports, strategy, science, numbers, I love to think and I love to learn. At the moment, I am just at the beginning of life. No wife or kids and far from most family (although with technology no one is ever to far away) I am at the point in life where I am making decision that will shape the rest of my life, decisions about who and what I want to become.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both introduced to the church when they were about my age, before they had ever met. They both came to know the truth of the message for themselves and have been actively involved in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ever since. My siblings and I were blessed to be raised in a home that had the fullness of the gospel. I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints because I have come to know that it really is Christ's church on the earth today. When I was first at college, I realized that regardless of factors such as financial or physical well being etc. I was happier as I lived the gospel of Jesus Christ. Christ taught "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine." (John 7:17) I found this to be true in my life. As I lived the principles and standards taught by Christ and His chosen servants I simply just knew it was right. When I served a two year mission I had the opportunity to bring that knowledge and happiness to others but also to see a world torn apart by religious confusion. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is like an oasis in a world void of morals and spiritual truth. Finally, the spirit has witnessed to me that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. It testifies of Christ ( 1John 4:1-2) and causes the spirit to enter into peoples hearts ( Galatians 5:22-23). If the Book of Mormon is scripture, Joseph Smith must really have been a prophet, a chosen spokesman for the Lord, Jesus Christ must truly be the Savior and Redeemer of the whole earth. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know it to be holy scripture like the Bible is holy scripture. I have lived the gospel of Jesus Christ and have undeniably felt his hand in m life. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have decided that the only way to serve the Lord is with all your heart. It doesn't work when we try to hold on to a little of the things of the world as well (i.e sin) As Christ says, "No man can serve two masters" (Matthew 6:24) so I try to live my life as God as my Master. The way I see it, when he asks me to do something I do it. Whether it be to keep a commandment or be kind to others or to voluntarily serve and give my time for the church to operate. I am not perfect but I have made a decision to simply just do what the lord asks of me. Life seems to go better that way, when we do things the way an all knowing being thinks (or rather knows) they should be done. Imagine that . . .
