Hi I'm Pam

I am a happy wife, thankful mother, blessed Grandma, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a wife, mother of 5, grandma of 6 (almost 7), and community volunteer. I love spending time with my family whether we are hiking, camping, traveling, training for a marathon, or simple talking around the dinner table.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born of goodly parents who taught me that I have a Heavenly Father who lives; that He loves me and will always answer my prayers. They taught me that Jesus Christ is indeed my Savior and it is through Him that I can be forgiven of my sins. In addition, I was taught that the fullness of the gospel was restored to the earth through a prophet Joseph Smith. I always believed, for it felt right. It felt good. But I believe that we can all know for ourselves what truth is; and since I was taught to pray I began in earnest to gain a sure knowledge. Thousands of times since my childhood I have felt the Holy Spirit testify to me of the truthfulness of my early teachings. I can now say that I KNOW God lives and that I have a Savior, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and we have a living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ. It goes hand in hand with the Bible. As I strive to live God’s commandments, I am blessed in countless ways. The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy!

How I live my faith

As a family we strive to keep God’s commandments. Of course, we are far from perfect, but we are continually striving to be better. We have family prayer morning and night and after dinner we sit down to read our scriptures together. We try to be a good example of our beliefs. Every family member has a calling, or responsibility, in the church. My calling is to work with the young women, ages 12-18. I help organize activities, such as: camps, dances, service projects, and sporting events, as well as teach Sunday lessons.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Pam
Absolutely! We live in a troubled time where there is much wickedness all around us. But our Heavenly Father loves us and has given us all the tools we need to return home to him someday. We have great need for a prophet today to lead us and guide us, just like in ancient days. I am very thankful for the words of a living prophet; words pertinent to us today. Every time I hear the living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, speak, the spirit testifies to me that he is indeed a prophet of God. For that I am very thankful. Show more Show less
