Hi I'm Angela

I grew up in Bountiful, UT. I am a biological engineering graduate student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graduate student working on a MS in biological engineering. I am a wife. I enjoy reading, playing the piano and viola. I love the outdoors and like to camp, fish, and hike. I enjoy being around children. I love to tutor and help others understand concepts, especially in mathematics. I enjoy having a calling in church and love feeling like I am a contributing part of the ward.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family, but that is not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because when I was 15, I knelt down and asked God, my Heavenly Father, if the Book of Mormon was true. God answered my prayer by sending the Holy Ghost to testify to my heart and soul that it was true. Because of that incredible experience, I know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church that has the complete fullness of the gospel. I am a Mormon because God answered my sincere prayer.

How I live my faith

I help watch over and teach all the children ages 18 months to 12 years old in our ward. I try to help them understand the gospel of Jesus Christ and how it can bless their lives. I also have the opportunity to visit, serve, and uplift women in my neighborhood. I find myself strengthened and uplifted as I reach out to serve others.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Angela
Joseph Smith was called of God to be a prophet and to restore the true church of Jesus Christ in the early 1800's. Joseph was a young man who asked God which church he should join. In answer to his humble prayer, God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph and told him that none of the churches were true. Joseph Smith then became an instrument in the Lord's hand, and through the power and authority from God, he was able to translate an ancient record of the early inhabitants of the American continents. This ancient record is the Book of Mormon, and it is another testimony of Jesus Christ. It gives record of Christ's visit to the American continent after His resurrection. Through the power and authority from God, Joseph Smith also restored the true church of Jesus Christ in 1830. Joseph Smith was called of God to be the first prophet and leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, also known as the Mormon church. Show more Show less
