Hi I'm Scott

I help oversee the operations of a city. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my lovely wife for three years and we are expecting our first child a daughter in November 2010. I have received a Master's of Public Administration and work in the field of city management. I play saxophone, love to read, and occasionally write both academically and for recreational purposes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where my parents were Latter-day Saints, but my mother was a convert from the Presbyterian faith. Oddly enough, my father while serving as a missionary in the Chicago Illinois Mission taught my mother the message of the Restored Church and baptized her. My parents have a firm belief that I must be the agent of my destiny and left the choice of church attendance, baptism, and continued membership in this church up to me. They never forced nor coerced me into church attendance or baptism the choice was mine whether I wanted to be known as a "Mormon." As I grew in years and maturity, I began to understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ learned about the Restoration of Christ's Church through the prophet Joseph Smith and gained a firm testimony of the Book of Mormon through earnest, humble prayer. I am a Mormon because I asked God for wisdom, and He showed me the truth. I am proud to be a Latter-day Saint.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. Since my membership in this church came from a personal journey, I know that every person in this world is on a similar journey to find their source of happiness. I enjoy hearing about other individual's journeys, experiences, and thoughts on God. It is my pleasure to share with others my thoughts and experiences in understanding the will of God in our lives.
