Hi I'm Andrea

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado but attended Brigham Young University in Utah where I majored in human biology. I married my husband a few months after graduation and then continued with my education for another year to be an ultrasound technologist. My husband and I moved back east for several years where my husband attended medical school, and where we were blessed with our beautiful little girl. I decided to be a stay-at-home mother with her, and after medical school our family moved to New Mexico for my husband's residency. I love playing the piano, cooking, reading, decorating, movies, spending time with friends and family, and being a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into this Church, and I was raised by very dedicated and faithful parents. They taught me to love God and Jesus Christ, and through their examples and attending Church diligently I gained my own testimony of the Gospel. I know of the Church's truthfulness because I have tested its teachings and principles. Each time I follow the words of the prophets and apostles I find myself closer to God, my family, and my own happiness. I live a wonderful life that is full of joy and possibilities. I also have the tools to teach to my daughter that will help her make good choices in the future, and that will help her come to know of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It has been the Church that has led me to the greatest blessings in my life - my friends, my wonderful husband, my beautiful daughter, and my relationship with my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I am very dedicated to going to Church every Sunday. It is there where I can regain my perspective and try and alter my life if I am getting "of track" in any way. I am currently working with the girls in our Church who are ages 12-18. I spend with other adults teaching the the girls the Gospel, how to withstand peer pressure that could lead to destructive lifestyles, how to be proud of who they are, and try to be their friend. I have loved being around these young people who are full of life, and who are looking for strong foundations to help them in their future. I also try and live my faith each day (not just Sunday). I read my scriptures and say my prayers daily to remind myself of the sacrifice of the Savior and how to be a better wife, mother and person. I try and reach out to those around me (both in and out of the LDS faith) to be more like the Savior as well as to help those who could be struggling with problems that arise in life. I can honestly say my faith is my life and I don't know where I would be without it.
