Hi I'm Andy

I'm a Mormon. I'm a husband. I'm a father. And I love to play soccer!

About Me

I was raised in Texas and always plan on calling it home. I met my wife here and all my children have been born here. I have a passion for friendships and adventure. I believe that life should be hard and that happiness comes from within and not the circumstances that might presently surround you. I love playing soccer, football, and mountain biking. I also love food! The more unique and international the better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church with some unique circumstances. We were the only Mormon family in my neighborhood and I was usually the only Mormon in school. I had many wonderful opportunities from the time I was a small boy to be questioned about my beliefs. My parents raised me to not be ashamed of my differences and to always be open about my beliefs. As a child, I held strong to the beliefs of my parents and church leaders and never doubted that I was part of the church where God wanted me. When I left home for college to Huntsville, Texas I again found myself to be the only Mormon in my freshman class. This time however I was on my own. It was then that I realized that my beliefs and devotion to the LDS church was still there. No one would have cared if I decided to no longer live a life in accordance with LDS teachings while at college, but it was then that I realized that I wanted to live this way. I believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be the true restored church that Jesus and God want everyone to enjoy and take advantage of. My life is more fulfilling because of it. It is because of what I believe the LDS church to be that I look for opportunities to share it with others.

How I live my faith

I do the best I can. I'm no where near perfect but I keep trying. I believe that if you keep finding ways to get better at living a good life, you're at least moving in the right direction! Above all else Jesus Christ and His teachings are my guide. I try to be an example to others and to treat others as Christ would. I am actively involved in my congregation and I take great pleasure in being part of it since I was a small boy. I have been able to watch my congregation grow since it was a small group of people to now four separate meeting congregations!
