Hi I'm Chad J.

I'm just an average guy, I have made mistakes. But I love The Lord. I love Jesus Christ. YES, I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am disabled. I am also remarried and have 4 kids and 3 step kids. I call them bonus kids! I love my Heavenly Father, my wife who is also my best friend, and all of my kids. I love music, fishing, and the outdoors. I live with pain every day. I have 2 diseases. They cause pain in my stomach, back, chest, shoulders, neck, and knees. I let me faith in my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. Help me through the hard times. I also believe a positive attitude helps me stay happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Don't you ever wonder what it would be like to truly be in the arms of our savior? I know how it feels to be lost in the deep abyss. I know how dark and alone it feels. I know the sorrow and guilt that accompanies it. I also know love. The pure love of Christ. Even though I have not yet physically felt the Saviors arms wrapped around me, I feel his warmth and compassion and love every day now. I feel it when I pray, or read my scriptures. I feel it when I go to the LDS Temple. I even feel it when I take the time to notice small things in the world, like a hawk sitting in a tree by my house. Or in the service of another. Those are the moments when I can feel his arms wrapped around me. Or when I see my children smile, and laugh. I can feel that joy and love. I still dream of the day that his real arms are wrapped around me as I return home to him. I am sure I will cry like a little boy. But until that day I will continue to do all that I can to make sure I am able to feel his love that he has for me, and try my best to give it back to him, and serve him, with all that I do. That is why I am Mormon. I want to be with him again someday.

How I live my faith

I am a normal guy, with one difference. I no longer have that "hole" or feel like something is missing. I go hometeaching with my step-son. I am an Assistant Ward Clerk in my ward. Which means I am over my wards web site. Even with my 2 diseases, the Lord is still giving me opportunities to serve others! I love being able to help when I can and provide service when I am physically able to! One place I love to go is the LDS Temple. I feel it is the closest place to Heaven we have here on Earth. It is a place where I can go and learn and feel even more connected to my Heavenly Father.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Chad J.
No. As Mormons, we are taught to help everyone. We are all sons and daughters of God. We have all made mistakes, and he loves us all no matter what. We are not here to judge, that is not our job. We are here to serve others, regardless of their religion. Show more Show less
