Hi I'm Eric

I love the Lion King. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am fairly recently married and my wife and I live in Utah. I want to study graphic design. I love to read and I grew up reading the Goosebump books. I like to watch movies and to play with my nieces and nephews. I went on an LDS mission to Romania and I loved it. Europe is wonderful. I like sports and especially football and basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I understand through experiences I have had and choices that I have made that living a righteous lifestyle makes me happy. When I do things that I know are inappropriate I feel sad and lonely. Living a Mormon lifestyle brings peace to my heart and a smile to my face. I want to live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings every Sunday and try to attend different church activities throughout the week. I am a home teacher, which means that once every month I share a short message with certain families in my neighborhood about the gospel and I also help them whenever I can. I try to give helpful service when I can to anyone that I see.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Eric
Not at all. When a Mormon young man is 18, it is a usual case that he starts to prepare for a mission when he turns 19 this is the same for young women, but they go on missions at around the age of 21. This is a general guideline, but no one is forced onto a mission, and they shouldn't be. A mission is a choice that Mormons make because they want to share a happy message with others. Older married couples may also choose to serve missions. Show more Show less
