Hi I'm Patricia

Born in Long Beach, California and now call Midvale, Utah home. Fun, energetic and spontaneous describes me best. I am a Mormon.

About Me

After serving a mission to Spain and Texas, I moved to Twin Falls Idaho and now find myself living in Utah! Who would have thought? I enjoy swimming, cycling and road tripping. I graduated in May 2013 with an AA in Liberal Arts. I am now pursuing my Bachelor's Degree, majoring in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Education and Health Promotion. I am the youngest of four children and a pet parent of 3 cats! That is another story for later. My dream job in high school was working for the United States Postal Service and I recently celebrated 25 years with them. I enjoy serving others and getting to know many people from all walks of life. I am excited to be a part of this game we call "Life!"

Why I am a Mormon

My family became members of the church in 1968. My mom was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Missouri. When she moved to California in the 60's the missionaries knocked on her door and she took the discussions. The missionaries began speaking of the Priesthood Authority, which is to act in the name of God, and that is when she says she knew that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church. At that time I was too young to be baptized, however when I turned 8 years old I made that choice. I continue to go to church because I know that God lives. I know that Joseph Smith was the Prophet of the Restoration. I have traveled to many of the church historic sites and have felt the Spirit testify to me the divinity of this work. I enjoy learning about the Prophets of old who lived in times similar to ours this day. They kept journals so we could learn about life. I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He lives and because of His atonement and resurrection I will too!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day when I strive to be the best person Heavenly Father wants me to be. I live my faith as I study the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. I live my faith as I attend the temple regularly. I live my faith as I keep the commandments and follow the counsel of the Prophet Thomas S Monson. I live my faith reaching out to others. I live my faith as an example to family and friends by the way I speak and act in accordance to the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I live my faith as I serve others!
