Hi I'm Amy

I'm a Mom. I am a wife. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mother to my three young children. Nothing makes me happier or more joyful than to be with my family. I love being married to the man of my dreams, (who I met on a blind date). I am interested in all things humanitarian/service oriented and I would love to someday work in a capacity to help those suffering from disasters and poverty. I love photography and traveling. I haven't been to many places but hope to maybe have the opportunity to serve somewhere overseas when my husband and I retire. I like trying new food and recipes and cheering for Cardinals Baseball. I treasure good relationships with friends and try to be a good friend myself. I love camping and taking walks and would love to combine the two, somewhere in the African bush!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by good parents in the Mormon church. I have had great examples of how to live a good and happy life and have seen the positive influence the gospel of Jesus Christ can have in a person's life. I have always strived to do the right thing and I like knowing that God knows all and sees all, and that He is in charge of everything. I know this church is the true church because I have lived by it's precepts and have prayed for myself to understand the truth. When I live by the commandments and strive to serve others I am happy. Others around me are happy. Even when dealing with hardship and trials, the Holy Ghost can give feelings of immense comfort and the atonement of Jesus Christ shines forth brightly and boldly. I have hope and can radiate that hope to others by my example. I am not perfect and struggle with temptations, but I know how to repent and receive forgiveness, as I forgive others. I believe in the Plan of Salvation with all of my heart. It is simple and familiar. I know why I am here on Earth and as I teach these principles to my children, I am blessed with the reassurance that what I am teaching is indeed true. I love the temple and the blessings I receive by keeping faithful to my covenants. I believe the family is so very important and can withstand anything when combined with the power of God. I know the Book of Mormon to be a true book. It has been proved many times to me in my life that the testimonies in it are good and real.

How I live my faith

In this church I have had the opportunity to serve in many capacities. Each time I recieve a new "calling" I am a bit nervous, but understand that God puts us where He wants us and will strengthen and support us in our endeavors. I have taught the children and youth from 18 months all the way up to the 17 year olds. I have had the priviledge to be a leader in the Church's women's organization and am currently serving as a counselor in that same organization. I help support the women in my area and teach occasionally on Sundays. I try to teach my children the truths that I know and pattern my life after my Savior, Jesus Christ, so that those who see me will want to know Him.
