Hi I'm Brad Nelson

I'm 65. I pull sleds with the kids in my Dodge diesel truck. I've been a AAA class shooter, NRA hunter pistol, & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Father of five, grandfather of ten, soon to be 12. I write the "Tales of a Hay Hauler" column for the Progressive Forage Grower magazine. I've shot in organized pistol competition and currently compete in diesel truck sled pulling. I'm a BYU graduate and returned missionary. I am an Emergency Medical Tech with our local volunteer ambulance.

Why I am a Mormon

My family goes back several generations as members of the Church. A lifetime of service has blessed me with many sacred experiences while serving that confirm the choice made by me great-great grandparents in Denmark and England that a restoration of the fullness of the Church Jesus Christ organized has happened.

How I live my faith

At age 65 it's mostly by habit. Years ago the pres. of the shooting club told me that over the winter some of the club members wanted to change the day of our monthly shoot from Saturday to Sunday. He said that it was getting a lot of support. Then someone said, "But if we do that, then Brad, the good Mormon, and Ted, the good Nazarine will not be able to shoot with us." He told me that with that comment, the change to a Sunday shoot was dropped. I had never said anything to any club member about my religion I just lived it.
