Hi I'm Weston

I grew up in Utah on a small farm. I'm a husband and a father. I work in the outdoor advertising industry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father. I love the outdoors. I grew up camping, fishing, water skiing and snow skiing. My mother taught me to respect animals and through this I learned to love Ornithology, the study of birds. I built my first computer when I was young and enjoy anything that involves electronics. I enjoy a good story, whether it is a movie, book or game. Science fiction and fantasy are a fun way to unlock my imagination. After high school I went on a mission for the LDS church to Eastern Canada. Upon returning I went to work at the family sign business. My father worked hard to build the company with his brothers and I have worked there since 1996. I have been married to my sweetheart since 1998 and have two beautiful children. I am very proud of our son, while being a normal teenager, he is a fine young man and a gentle soul. Our daughter is adopted and is a precious part of our family. I cannot imagine it without her beautiful touch.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. My parents raised me in the faith. I have grown up learning about the Gospel in my stages of life. I first gained my testimony as a young teenager while I was at a youth camp. We were allowed to go into the mountains for a few hours alone and have time to pray and meditate. I asked in humility if God would grant me some understanding. He did. It was a very personal experience and one I will always remember. It has served to keep my mind focused on the bigger picture of this life and what it all means ever since. We will all make mistakes, some more serious than others. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can be cleansed of those mistakes. If we work hard with faith and endure to the end we will look back on this life and be grateful for the people we came to know and love. I hope to meet you someday and help you find faith in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I always try to remember why we are here on Earth. It is not to build up wealth and self gain, but to build up strong relationships with family and friends. You know the saying, "You can't take it with you." The fact is you come into this world naked and you depart this world naked. I do believe that we will all see each other again in the after-life. I would hope to recognize as many as I can at that time with a smile and a warm-hearted embrace. So I am continually working toward being an example and to look for ways to help others when the need arises. I enjoy spending time teaching Sunday School. The study and preparation with the scriptures is my time to learn and I always feel like I am the student rather than the teacher. I pray and ask for guidance during this time of learning and with the help of the Holy Ghost I am able to know truth when I see it. Each night before bed, my family spends time together reading from the scriptures. It's a special way to wind down the day and put things back into proper perspective. We discuss the verses we read and say a family prayer. This helps to bring the Spirit of God into our home. I love my family.
