Hi I'm Jerry

I'm a Mormon and a convert to the faith.

About Me

54 year old male. I work for the U.S.P.S. as a letter carrier. I enjoy the outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping. My favorite sport is playing tennis. I am a father of three great children and 5 grand children. Being a parent is my greatest accomplishment and a great joy. My wife and I enjoy life together and love each other very much.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon when I was 18 years old. When I was young I did not have a favorable impression of the church, in fact I would go out of my way to ridicule the Church. I grew up in a poor family and we did not have many of life"s comforts. My family life was not good and in high school I took the wrong path. This led to even greater unhappiness. When I was a senior in high school I felt their had to be something better in life and started my search for truth. after months of study and prayer I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I cannot express the joy and happiness I have felt by following the Savior and his church. Once I was on the road to destruction and unhappiness and now I have found the path to true joy and happiness and eternal life.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is easy because it is a way of life. I work with the Young Men"s organization in my ward.To be an example to sixteen 14-15 year old"s is a challenge. We have fun activities as well as spiritual activities. My goal as a young men leader is to help these boys gain a testimony of Jesus Christ and help them avoid the path of unhappiness that I found in high school. This time in our history is a great challenge for our young people and being able to spend time with them is a great blessing.
