Hi I'm Lindy

I'm a Texan, a runner, a singer, a friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a university student studying French and Music who takes pleasure in getting to know people and what makes them who they are. I love languages, my favorites being French, Jarai, Korean, Spanish, and Creole. I'm a thrill seeker; whether you are playing dodgeball or going bungee jumping I'm normally game. I love to have fun which includes satire. I love games of wit and theory. I love my family and I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

Initially? Because my parents made choices early in their lives so that I could be raised believing in Christ. I wish I could really explain all of the reasons that I, personally, choose to be a Mormon, but it's not possible so my simple list will have to suffice. Aside from the fact that I believe it to be God's will for me: This gospel's whole focus is on personal progression and salvation. I love to serve others but it really comes down to me and my relationship with God. It motivates me to study and become my best self in society. My relationships with others are strengthened by my faith. No matter where I am in the world I am welcomed by the congregation as if I am family. The church gives me opportunities to serve. I'm led by a living prophet of God. The spirit witnesses to me in an undeniable manner that He is the Christ. I know that God knows and loves me personally. The commandments not only protect and guide me, but they help me feel safe. I know God has a plan for me. I love being a Mormon and it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by pushing myself to the edge of my comfort zone. If I'm too comfortable with life I often feel that it is because I'm not doing enough or seeking improvement thus I'm not growing. So I try to serve others and think outside of the box to touch the lives of those around me. When I feel weak in faith I pray for more strength and He gives it to me amply.
