Hi I'm April

I am married with three children, a homemaker and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am almost twenty six years old, married to my best friend, mother of three delightful children and I'm a homemaker. Being home everyday with the kids is so great, I truly enjoy it and wouldn't change it for anything else. The time I spend with my kids really fills my cup, I find myself wishing I could freeze time and just continue at this stage forever. As they grow and we grow as a family I find somethings get easier just as new challenges move in. It is a continual balancing act which makes the task of raising and caring for all of us exciting. I love to read, play outside, cook, and create/prepare for the holidays. I love our country, my state and my town. My perfect day would be on the beach maybe in French Polynesia or somewhere pristine with the whole family playing in the sun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was eight, but I wasn't raised exactly mormon. I had real contrast in my life where I could compare my active mormon extended family to my parents. I think my inner intelligence recognized and yearned for the happiness I saw in other mormons I knew. As a troubled teen I began to realize that I needed to follow what I knew in my heart would bring me happiness and to leave behind the common world and the path my parent's were on. I let Heavenly Father in, I humbled myself and the Holy Ghost helped me along my way to wonderful spiritual experiences, and a temple marriage that sealed my own little family together forever. I have reached a point where my heart and spirit have been so touched I know that I can not deny the truth of this gospel. I know my Savior Jesus Christ and I belong to his church.

How I live my faith

I have had opportunities to serve in different areas of the church, but my favorite has been teaching children. I love to teach children the Bible and Book of Mormon stories like the Christmas story to the eager little ones in church. The have such a pure spirit and find some of the simplest details so amazing. I currently serve with a neighbor to help eight and nine year old girls transition in to great young women. We play games, talk about how to help others and work on developing good qualities. It has been a really great experience for all of us, even my five and four year old daughters have had a blast creating and playing with our group of girls.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

April
You know that is really the basis of my faith as a mormon. Joseph Smith saw God and His Son, he was given the answers to the most basic truths that we base our faith on. Who is God? What are his characteristics? His attributes? I know he is my spiritual Father in Heaven, He knows all and He can do all. He wants my happiness and success just as we do for our children here on Earth. He loves us and will always be there for each and everyone. Show more Show less
