Hi I'm Jeff
I love to be active and enjoy the outdoors. Spending time with my family is of the utmost importance. I am a fan of the Minnesota Vikings, despite all the big games that they lose.
Why I am a Mormon
The missionaries came to my house and knocked on my front door. I had worked the overnight shift the night before and was very tired. I truly know that the Holy Spirit guided me to answer that door and accept the missionaries into my home. I testify that the gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life so much for the better that it is hard to put into words. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for the blessings I have received.
How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?
The first time the missionaries gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon, it was like a jolt of electricity went though my body. From that moment, I knew that the Book of Mormon was the word of God. However, it was through study, prayer, and a confirmation from the Holy Ghost that I knew for certain this was true. I now have a close, personal relationship with God because of the Book of Mormon. I testify that by reading the Book of Mormon every day and living by its precepts, you will grow closer to God.
In what ways have your prayers been answered?
When the missionaries were teaching me, I learned the importance of and the correct method of prayer. I have learned to utilize this principle in my life on a daily basis and ask my Heavenly Father in sincere prayers for blessings and also thank Heavenly Father for all he has blessed me with. My Heavenly Father has answered my prayers and blessed me. Since my baptism, I have found peace and inner joy. I have also met my wife and feel these blessings are due to my faith and prayers being answered.
How I live my faith
I love serving the Lord and gladly give my time, talents, and energy. I am given the opportunity to visit with other believers and make sure they are doing well. The opportunity to go and worship every Sunday is something that I look forward and it recharges my batteries every week.
