Hi I'm Adrianna

I love spending time with family and friends, bringing a smile to peoples faces, and I just love people. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I love people. I love getting to know and helping others. I enjoy religious conversation. I like listening to music, going for walks, reading, talking, and I am now serving as a full time missionary in the Minneapolis Minnesota Mission. After my mission I plan to take up bike riding and finish up school in an undecided major! I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

As a young 12 year old girl my family moved to a small town in the corner of Nebraska. It was a difficult transition for me. I made a good friend at church, but both her and the church building were in a city 30 minutes away. I saw her twice a week. I didn't make any friends when I went to school. In fact, I began to loose my self esteem and wondered what the purpose of life was. I became extremely unhappy, but with the help of family, my friend, and my church leaders I came to understand that I was truly a daughter of God, that He loved and cared about me and that Christ truly atoned for our sins. Once I accepted that I began to become more confident and eventually make good friends. That's when I began my testimony of this church. It has continued to grow as I have tried to live righteously and seen the positive affects it has had. I love that the church brings so much hope, joy, and happiness into my life and also those around me. I know that we are all children of God and that He wants us to be happy and has provided us a way to return to Him and live with Him and our families for eternity.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full time mission for the church, so every moment is full of my faith! From 630 in the morning until I go to bed at 1030 and sometimes even in my dreams! I love what I do, I love going out and inviting people to learn more about the gospel. It's amazing to see how positively the gospel can influence someone's life. There is no greater joy that I've experienced than going out to share the truth with those who haven't had the opportunity to hear it!

What is faith?

Faith is a sincere belief that something is true, and that belief leads you to action. Through action we can come to know of truth. It is just like a science experiment. We have a hypothesis, we do an experiment and we analyze the results. Put your faith in Christ, try living the doctrines He taught, and watch how those decisions affect your life. What are some things that tell you there is a God?

There is a God and He loves us. Everything around us denotes that there is a God. From the complimenting colors of nature to the technology that we have been blessed with. The way that our bodies work and how perfect this world is for humans to live in. No other planet in our Solar System could support human life. My favorite tender mercies that reminds me of God's love are thunderstorms and rainbows. There are always signs of God's love, even in the depth of despair and on the tough paths of life. God lives and loves each and every person ever to live. He knows us and shows us everyday the love that He has for us, we just need to look and see those blessings. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Through many conversations with many different people I have come to understand that the biggest reason people are scared of or consider Mormonism a cult is because they don't really understand what it is that we believe. As people come to realize and understand that we do believe in the same Jesus Christ as talked about in the Holy Bible and that we love our Savior they recognize that they have been misinformed. Latter-day Saints love God and Jesus Christ and desire to serve Him in every way they can. Show more Show less
