Hi I'm Brad

I am a husband, father, inventor and follower of Jesus Christ - and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a love for hunting and fishing and really enjoy thinking up new ideas. I have a wonderful wife and children and spend my time with them. I am also a rock hound with a love for finding fossils and other interesting rocks.

Why I am a Mormon

In my youth I spent time studying the scriptures, to include the Bible and the Book of Mormon. It was during this time that the Holy Ghost bore witness to me that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God, that he saw Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father and knew that they lived. I came to know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that it is truly scripture. I came to know that Jesus Christ is the literal son of God and Savior of the world. That understanding really grew as I chose to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon's.

How I live my faith

Today I serve actively in the church. I have opportunity to visit members in their homes - known as home teaching - and deliver uplifting messages from church leaders and the scriptures. I've also served as a Bishop over a ward of wonderful members. This (and other) callings (what we call positions in the church, a calling) brings me into contact with all the members of the ward (what we call a congregation) whom I love. These are non-paid roles, as are all callings in the church. I have also enjoyed serving in the past with the Boy Scouts, helping young men achieve Eagle Scout rank.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, we do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God the Eternal Father and His son Jesus Christ, who was resurrected. We do recognize and revere Joseph Smith as the prophet called by God in these last days to restore the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth - which includes priesthood authority, the organization of his (Christ's) church with a Prophet and Apostles - prior to his second coming.
