Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a father of 6 girls. I work as an IT professional. I love politics, technology, and outdoors. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love spending time with my family. We camp, ride bikes, garden, and take care of a few farm animals - 16 chickens and 2 goats. Our daughters are growing up fast. Lots of time has been spent helping them with practice and performances in ballet, band, piano, soccer, softball, etc. On my own time, I like to work on home remodeling projects and simple woodwork. Recently I've worked on brick paver patio and a bathroom linen closet. I also like to use technology to see how it can solve problems - a good fit with my career as an IT professional.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. So naturally I learned from a young age the truths and values that is part of my adult life now. However, I can say that I'm not a Mormon by family tradition, but by personal faith in living it. I love how the gospel has blessed and protected my family. I know that God is aware of me and my growing family. He hears us as we pray, and answers us according to our faith and needs. One of the things that helped me develop a strong testimony is to serve a mission in Japan. It was challenging, but rewarding to teach and see people accept the invitation to learn about Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Now that I am raising my family, I know even more now how important the Savior is in helping us every day. We pray every day as a family and study the scriptures each morning together. The teachings of Christ strenthens our love for each other. As a member, I also volunteer my time (no pay) to help other members of our congregation to be strong in living the gospel. When I serve with other members, I am humbled to know that everyone is trying to learn the truths of the gospel by faith and experience. I know that God has a plan for each of us, and if we turn our hearts to Him, He will direct us to know of His will for us to reach our full capacity and be happy in life.
