Hi I'm Joyce Eagar-Lemons

I am a wife, mother, friend and school counselor. I love to try new things......and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to a wonderful man for 27 year. We have three amazing kids. Currently I live in Arizona and work as a school counselor. My husband and I have recently become empty nesters and actually.....we are totally enjoying it. I love to visit our children and hear everything they are doing. I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, working out and trying new things

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong Mormon family. I have 4 brothers (all of whom served missions) and two sisters. All seven of us where married in the temple. I basically become a Mormon by default. My parents where Mormon so of course I was baptized into the church at the age of 8. Doing something because others did it will only go so far. Eventually you must decide if that thing is right for you. That is what I had to do. I had to look at my life and ask myself is being a Mormon what I want? Do I truly believe in the teachings or am I only a Mormon because it is expected of me or because it is what I have been taught since birth? Early in life you can rely on the testimony of others but eventually you have to gain a testimony of your own. That is what I have done. My testimony didn't come through any one huge event but slowly, simply, over time. I know in my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that our Heavenly Father loves me and is aware of everything about me. He helps me and watches over me daily. I love the gospel and all it brings into my life.

How I live my faith

The only true way that I can live my faith is daily. I am far from perfect but I try to live the gospel. I currently teach the 12 yr olds in Sunday School. I have 5 girls and 4 boys in the class. They are a wonderful group. We are studying the modern prophets starting with Joseph Smith and moving through them all to today's prophet, Thomas S. Monson. These kids are so smart and I learn as much from them as they learn from me.
