Hi I'm Chelsea

I love life and love to have fun! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student majoring in elementary education. I recently was married four months ago to my loving husband. One thing that my husband and I love to do is cook! We both grew up in homes where there was always something going on in the kitchen. We love trying new recipes, and making the old ones that we love. One thing that makes me unique is that I collect lip balm! I love finding all of the different flavors that are available. Right now, I have over 200 different flavors! I love just being myself and trying new things. Life is too short to settle, so I try to dream big! Whether it's eating something strange or learning the unicycle for fun, I try to make the most of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. I learned the principles from a young age, and grew up in the faith. Throughout all of this I understood that there were other churches and faiths out there. I often reflected on how mine was different, and what it meant to me personally in my life. I went to other churches with friends and studied my own as well. I realized that the principles taught in my own faith had brought happiness to my life. I felt a distinct feeling, that I have felt many times after, that what I was learning and practicing was indeed from God. He was happy that I was a part of His true church upon the earth. So why am I a Mormon? Because I have felt within my heart that this is what life is really about. Everything taught teaches me where I came from, what my purpose on earth is now, and how that effects my eternal destiny. In short, it brings me the happiness that I always desire.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my reading from the scriptures everyday, praying morning and night, going to church every Sunday, and keeping the commandments. I try to be friendly to everyone the way Christ did. I try to serve others as much as I can. I try to be honest, kind, generous, and selfless. I try to live as Jesus lived.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Chelsea
Yes! A husband and wife can be together forever, but only if they are married by the right authority in the eyes of God. This happens in the temple. The sealer seals you together for time and all eternity by the power of God. It is only then when God recognizes it as an eternal marriage. If you are sealed in the temple, your children will also be sealed to you. And yes, we do believe that families will live together in heaven, but only if the family is sealed together. Once they are sealed, they can be together based on their obedience to commandments. Show more Show less
