Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a mother, a wife, a neighbor and a friend. I love to be outside. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a new mom to a beautiful son. My husband is nearing the end of graduate school and we live far from our families. I recently left work to be full-time with my little boy and am loving it. I enjoy reading, napping myself, socializing, playing tennis, watching sports, playing the piano, swimming, sun-bathing, hiking, camping, singing, occasionally sewing, shopping, and blogging. I do not enjoy cleaning. :) Especially now that I stay home, and my husband's gone during the day, I often spend my week meticulously planning a fun weekend full of sports, games, shopping, and other outings. We also like to travel and sight-see during the summer and fall.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up participating in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was baptized at eight. I loved going to church and participating in all the activities because everyone was so kind and I believed the doctrine and I felt I really belonged there. None of that has really ever changed, but my faith in the Savior Jesus Christ really grew to a new level during a rough patch in college. I found that He is the only source of unconditional love and real healing that will NEVER fail me. I clung to Him and sought His healing for all the things that hurt me, and amazingly I found it. He healed my heart. And that, to me, is miraculous. I go to church because I know Jesus Christ really lives and I want to be part of His church, His organization. I want to be close to Him and follow Him. It brings peace and joy.

How I live my faith

At home I live my faith by praying with my family, trying to keep the commandments together, and talking about our faith. At church, my current assignment is with the teenage girls. I organize, with the help of several other women, weekly Sunday lessons for them, and weekly mid-week activities. The girls are tons of fun and it's so good to be associated with them.
