Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a convert to the Mormon Church. I grew up as a Methodist in the midwest US.

About Me

I'm a new mom - a little scary, but I love it! My husband and I are working on finishing college. We are a super-competitive family, so we love anything having to do with board games, competitions of any kind, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this Church. The fact that it makes me happier than I've ever been and a better person than I've ever been assures me that it comes from God and nowhere else.

How I live my faith

I teach a Sunday School class on family history and the temple. I also spend a lot of my spare time - as much spare time as I can have with a 9 month old - doing my own family history and genealogy.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Melissa
We believe in grace, but we also believe in works - a little confusing, right? We believe that after we try our hardest to live as we should - works - that Christ will step in and do what we cannot - grace - so that we can be saved. Because none of us is perfect, we need Christ's help, but we are required to do our best at the same time. Show more Show less
