Hi I'm Paul

I am an advertising executive. I am a husband and father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and the father of two children. I have diverse interests ranging from art, design, music, travel and gourmet dining to birdwatching, beekeeping, gardening, cycling, snow skiing, hiking and fishing. I own an advertising firm, and love the challenge of balancing the hectic pace of a creative profession, a busy home life, and serving other people through church and community efforts.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an active Latter-day Saint home and was taught that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I had the opportunity to learn His Gospel through the scriptures and by the example of wonderful parents. But I believe there comes a time in everyone's life where one cannot live on borrowed light and seeks for a confirmation of ones belief. I went through my own process seeking for divine knowledge, truth and understanding. I received an answer to my prayers through the sweet confirmation of the Holy Ghost, that the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is available through His restored Church. Also that the Book of Mormon stands as another testament of Jesus Christ. That there are living Apostles and Prophets on the earth today as there was anciently. Most importantly, I received a witness that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that through His atoning sacrifice I can return to live with our Heavenly Father. Having this witness from God has brought me much peace and joy and purpose in a world filled with confusion and conflict.

How I live my faith

My faith is the integral driving force in all I try to be and do in life. Through personal prayer, scripture study and temple covenants I continue to grow in a very real relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. Because I feel their love in my life, I want others to experience the same happiness I have found. This has caused me to try following the example of Christ by serving others. Because the Church of Jesus Christ is a lay ministry, I have been blessed with many opportunities to serve my fellowmen, each opportunity changing my life for the better. One opportunity that was particularly meaningful in my life was the service as the director of the Addiction Recovery Group that the Church sponsors in the area where I live. There is no greater feeling than to help individuals find hope through Jesus Christ and his teachings. It was miraculous to see individuals with debilitating addictive behavior that resulted in lives of unhappiness and pain transform their lives through the Atonement of Jesus Christ and through His teaching found in the Church, into lives filled with hope, joy and peace. This experience increased my faith in Heavenly Father knowing that He is aware and loves all of his children. I know that lasting happiness is found through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
