Hi I'm Michael

I work as an Executive for an Automotive magazine. I'm a husband and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Michael and I am from Canada. I am the General Manager for an Automotive magazine and web development firm. I am a husband, father of one child (another on the way) and have a passion for being creative. I have always been interested in writing music and playing the guitar, graphic design, and have just recently found an interest in photography.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has blessed me with a life full of constant progression. Striving to do the best that I can to live according to the Lord's example has blessed my life in a very open way. The hope that comes from the atonement of Jesus Christ draws me to him on a day-to-day basis. It is because of Him and his gospel that I can live a life filled with true joy and comforting peace. I have learned for myself after prayer and reading the Book of Mormon that Jesus Christ lives and that He cares for me. I know that He loves me because I continually witness the blessings that His gospel brings to my life. I love Him.

How I live my faith

Being of service to others is one of the central messages of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and as a member of the Church, I have been blessed with regular opportunities to reach out and help those in need. I have taught Sunday School to young teenagers, provided leadership to the young men and adult organizations and have provided assistance to those needing help with moving or yard clean-up.

Who was Joseph Smith?

To properly answer this question, allow me to briefly reference a couple truths which are found repeatedly through-out the pages of the Bible and Book of Mormon. They are that 1.)God has a pattern that He continues to follow because 2.) He never changes. Gods pattern since the time of Adam is that He chooses a prophet among men to testify of Him and teach his Gospel to the world. In 1820, Joseph Smith experienced his first vision, in which he was visited by God the Father and Jesus Christ. In this vision, Joseph was told that the Church that Christ established in New Testament times which contained the fullness of the gospel, was no longer on the earth. Because I know that God has a pattern and never changes from it, I also know that Joseph Smith was chosen by Him to be a prophet. Through Joseph, the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth bringing with it all the principles necessary for our Salvation. Show more Show less
