Hi I'm Matt.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, therefore I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single-and-looking man in my twenties. I work at an attorney's office, and I also work as a film editor. I aspire to find success in artistic areas of writing, music, and film. I enjoy watching and reviewing movies on a website I operate. As a typical Mormon, I don't watch R-rated movies though I admit I have seen a very few edited R-rated movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two goodly parents, who were both happy and dedicated followers of the Church. I was born and raised in the gospel all my life, and nothing around me has ever come close to bringing me to decide that anything but the LDS Church was worth living in.

How I live my faith

I've never felt like I've ever wanted to skip church any Sunday of my life. I can't imagine not attending. I'm not perfect, but I feel a great importance in church attendance, prayer, scripture study, service, and keeping the commandments the best that I can. I enjoy music, and when I feel spiritually down, I like the idea of listening to music that is gospel-central. In church, I attend a singles ward, where my calling is in the family home evening committee. I also have a hobby of photographing the outsides of temples. I haven't been to any temples outside of the United States yet, but I have a collection of digital photographs of 15 temples in Utah, Los Angeles CA, Redlands CA, Las Vegas NV, Twin Falls ID, Winter Quarters NE, Nauvoo IL, and Washington DC. It will be fun to see how many more I can do. My favorite temples architecturally are Salt Lake, Jordan River, and Washington DC, plus San Diego which I don't have a photo of yet.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

God our Father did. To elaborate a little bit more, Jesus Christ did, under the direction of His Father, who is also our Father. Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father are perfectly united, so in the scriptures, Jesus often spoke in the place of the Father. The true church is the church that Christ established on the earth, the Church of Jesus Christ, because God commanded it. Because of the iniquity of the people, the organization that Christ founded became lost from the earth, and so centuries later, Joseph Smith, by divine inspiration, restored it as the church and religion we know to be true today, the Church of Jesus Christ. To distinguish it from the organization that Christ established in His day, we call our modern religion the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Because of the divinely inspired book that Joseph restored from the dust, the Book of Mormon, our church is nicknamed the Mormon Church. Show more Show less
