Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a husband, a father, an illustrator, a teacher, a singer, a runner, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dad. I've got a beautiful wife and 4 amazing children. I work in marketing and design. When I'm not at work, I'm spending time with my family, singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, illustrating, or training to run my next marathon. I've been a member of the church since I was born, nonetheless, I have come to a personal knowledge through sacrifice, study, and service that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I find that I'm able to find great purpose in life when I see things within a gospel perspective. At the end of the day I think we all seek to discover and understand truth the truth about everything. When I consider the confusion that exists in the world when it comes to seeking truth, it is comforting to consider that we have a loving Heavenly Father who has revealed truth and who continues to reveal truths through prophets on the earth. I feel that I'm able to come to a greater understanding of this life and life hereafter as I heed the will of my Father in Heaven through his prophets.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon isn't just going to church on Sunday It is how I dress, how I talk, how I treat others, how I teach and love my children, and how I strive personally each day to do things that I believe will strengthen my relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ. I live my faith by sticking up for what is right, serving those in need of service, and sharing the blessings and talents that I've been blessed with.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Ryan
The role of a husband is to love, care for, sustain, and support his wife throughout their lives together. He does not control her, dictate what she does, or keep her from progressing personally. A husband is to build up his wife so that she can come to a greater understanding of her personal abilities, talents, and potential. When a husband and wife are blessed with children they are able to learn so much be supporting one another in their individual roles when it comes to child rearing. Each is able to serve the other in raising up righteous children and teaching them Christlike principles. In this type of service within the family, trying to become more like the Savior, both husband and wife is able to grow closer to one another. Show more Show less
