Hi I'm Andrew Gwyther

I'm a Mormon. It's great. I have lived in Utah all my life and I love it. I Served a mission in Florida. Life is good.

About Me

I am 23 years old and enjoying life in beautiful Utah. I Just returned from serving an Lds mission about a year ago. I have had a full time job for year now, which is a blessing. I love the outdoors, especially Moab going biking, hiking, river rafting, and skydiving. I am a young single adult and enjoy life. I am also thinking about joining the military.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have a firm testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know what he did for me personally. I know that this is his gospel restored to the earth. I have obtained my testimony of Christ. through reading the Book of Mormon. I knew that I received that witness therefore I knew that The Book Of Mormon was true and was another Testament of Jesus Christ. Ever since I received that witness my study of the Bible and Book of Mormon have increased along with my faith.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live the gospel that god has given us to be happy. I am not perfect. But that is what church is for. Church is not a monastary for perfect people, it is like a hospital for one to get well, in a spiritual sense. Loving others and helping them is the best way I know to live my faith.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Andrew Gwyther
Ancient prophets were called of God living in the ancient Americas and were commanded to keep records of their people. Prophets of ancient america wrote the Book of Mormon. When God chose Joseph Smith to be a prophet, he gave him the power and authority to translate it to english.  Show more Show less

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

Andrew Gwyther
We have one of the largest humanitarian aid programs around the world. When disaster hits, we are already prepared to help. Food, water, and other essentials are brought, as well as people to help clean up and build after a disaster hits.  Show more Show less

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Andrew Gwyther
The church services are very reverent. It is conducted by one who has authority in a congregation, but even people in the congregation are given assignments to give a talk in church. On the first Sunday of the month we have a testimony meeting where anyone can get up and share what they believe. Visitors are more than welcome to attend church meetings and it is encouraged. So please come.  Show more Show less
