Hi I'm Mandy

I'm a devoted wife to my high school sweetheart, mom to 2 1/2 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 26 year old stay-at-home mom of two and a half children: An almost 4 year old girl, an almost 2 year old boy, and a baby on the way due in May. I've been married for 6 years to my high school sweetheart and enjoy serving in the church and being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

At 17 years old I lived the life of any American girl my age. Loved going to high school football games and being with friends. I was dating a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and admired watching him prepare to serve a 2 year mission for the Church. I admired his strength and ability to stand up for what he believed in. At length I became very interested in what he would be teaching to people in a far away country in which he had never been. I decided to take the missionary discussions. I, at times in my life, had felt as Joseph Smith had as a young boy, bounced to and fro by different doctrines and confused at what comes from God. I knew there was a truth out there and I wanted to know it. As I took the missionary discussions, read from the Book of Mormon and prayed to my Heavenly Father, I felt a peace that I had never felt before. I asked God, the Eternal Father in the name of His son Jesus Christ if the Church was true and by the power of the Holy Ghost He bore witness to me that it was and that it is. As I say my prayers daily and read from the scriptures, I'm reminded again and again of this eternal truth. My life is not perfect because of this knowledge, but I am equipped to deal with trials and tribulations in a way I never thought possible. The Gospel has made my life better and has made me want to be better and do better. I have a deeper love for all of my fellow men and strive to do what is right. I have never before felt closer to my savior Jesus Christ as I do with I live the teachings of the gospel.

How I live my faith

Having a knowledge of the Gospel makes me want to do all I can to show others of the happiness it has brought in my life. I serve in the women's organization of the church by creating a monthly newsletter that helps women to remember important dates and it also has spiritual messages. I am also involved on the activities committee for the women in which we plan events that will help us learn new skills and also how to better our lives. The Church also assigns women to be a Visiting Teacher to several other women in your congregation. I visit 3 women on a monthly basis and have become good friends with each of them. I share a spiritual message and we talk about life and usually pray together. My children enjoy going with me to their homes. I have cried with some of them, laughed with all of them, and feel closer to my savior every time I visit with them. My husband and I also try to help out in the community whenever necessary. We feel that we have been immensly blessed and want to give our time and talents to any who can benefit from them.
