Hi I'm Brittany

I love being a wife and mother. I started a children's choir in our community. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time Mom to our four children and I love it. I received my degree in Education and taught elementary school for several years before we started our family. I have a great love for music. I love to sing and began a children's choir in our community which has been a great combination of teaching and music! I also love to read, work in the garden and watch movies!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God lives and that he loves each one of his children. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior and that one of his greatest gifts is allowing us to come to earth and learn together in families. My family isn't perfect but with the gospel of Jesus Christ, I feel that I have the truths and tools I need to keep my family grounded. One of the greatest tools I have to strengthen my faith and my family is the Book of Mormon. It is another testament of the Jesus Christ and shows that God is mindful of all his people. Through the scriptures I can come to know Him and the Savior and see how he works in our lives. He has a plan for us and when we discover that plan and follow it, we can be filled with peace and joy. Through His plan I know that I can be together forever with my family. This is my ultimate purpose and goal in life and it is possible through the atonement of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love working with children and youth. I love their energy for life, their willingness to be unique and take a stand and their faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have had the opportunity to spend my adult life working with kids both inside and outside of church settings -- as a school teacher, piano teacher, through singing, in Sunday school and in my own home with my own children. I think working with children has helped me to see the hand of God in people's lives over and over again. I look around in the world and sometimes feel overwhelmed and discouraged about the future but when I spend time with kids and teenagers, I realize there is so much to feel hopeful about and nothing to fear. I love planning activities for young women that help them feel empowered and of worth. I enjoy having weekly family home evening in my own home to teach my children the gospel and important skills to enable them to be positive contributors to society. I feel the greatest way to live the gospel is to spend our time as Jesus did -- serving others and strengthening relationships with neighbors, friends and family.
