Hi I'm Joshua

I like to travel, I like to ride my bicycle, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am serving a Mission for Jesus Christ, but I when return home, I fully intend to return to college, finish my Bachelors in Economics, International Relations and Classical Studies. Outside of that I also intend to backpack like it's going out of style, hang out with my friends, travel the world, and continue sharing the message of Christ's restored Gospel that has truly truly blessed mine and so many others lives, especially my family and those I've been blessed to meet out here in Minnesota & Western Wisconsin.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but as everyone knows, you have to make a decision for yourself, and besides, it's not like the journey is a cakewalk. There have been many opportunities for me to witness the Lord's hand working in my life, but the redemption and the lifting of so much of my sins and my pains has been a huge blessing to me as my faith continues to be tried, and the Lord continues to help me grow. Point is, I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true, and as with all truth witnessed by the Fire of the Holy Spirit, I felt a singular, significant, and discernible warmth in my soul. From that point on there's been a lot of faith, a lot of witnesses, but it was from then that I have known this was God's church again restored to the face of the earth, just as the Bible prophecies. I would hope that you too would give the Book of Mormon a try and ask God Himself if it is true and if it is significant. He'll tell you if you ask how Moroni instructs, He always does, it's His promise.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a Mission in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission, I have come to know through many experiences that this is where Christ wants me to be. Here I have been able to meet many people that have helped me in my faith journey, as well as many that could I could allow the Lord to work through me to help them. It has been an incredible experience, and I look forward to the remaining months of my teaching the gospel. We love to teach, to baptize, to help build retaining walls, mow lawns, ride our bikes in the rain, and we love being the servants of Jesus Christ. It's a Mormon thing.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is much like what Alma--a prophet in America that has much of his story in the Book of Mormon--describes in Alma 32. It is a knowing of what is true because you have tried something out on faith and seen the blessings that come from it. Show more Show less
