Hi I'm Jared

I'm a resident physician, husband, dad, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a resident physician married to a Biology teacher. We have a 4-year-old little girl and 2-year-old boy with another baby due soon. I love rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe God knows and loves me personally, and is interested in my success in this life. I believe happiness comes from submission to God's will as Jesus taught. I believe Jesus has chosen prophets to teach us now as he did in the times of the Bible, and these prophets are the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

John 17:3 says, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent." I think the best way to know Jesus is to try to live as He did, "who went about doing good" (Acts 10:38). I try to serve my community and be honest in everything I do.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

The missionaries themselves work and save beforehand to pay their way. In many cases family members or other church members help. Show more Show less
