Hi I'm Richard

I grew up in Orange California - now my family and I live in beautiful Colorado. I own a real estate firm and I’m Mormon!

About Me

My wife and I have lived in Colorado for over 20 years and love it. I have 4 wonderful children and one grandchild. My two daughters are married to wonderful men. I have one son at home and another leaving on a mission. My wife, who was my high school sweetheart, teaches High School theatre. I own and operate a Real Estate Firm. I graduated from the University of Utah in Marketing and have an MBA from Regis University in Denver. When I am not working or serving in the church, I love to run, waterski and write lyrics. Over the years I have written a full length musical, cantata and dozens of songs. Life is great!

Why I am a Mormon

From my earliest memories, I recall feeling close to God. My parent’s example gave me a platform to build my faith as well as to freely explore other belief systems. As a youth, I loved to read and study religion; whether it was Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity or Islam. I have always been intrigued with all forms of worship, beliefs and doctrines. As a youth, I pondered, prayed and wondered about the purpose of life. I thought deeply about the various religious claims and doctrines. When I read the Book of Mormon before leaving on a mission for the church, I felt the sweet, powerful conformation that the Book of Mormon was indeed another testament of Jesus Christ and Joseph was the prophet that was called by God to reestablish the Church of Jesus Christ once again on the earth. Over the years that confirmation and witness has come to me again and again – that’s why I’m a Mormon

How I live my faith

I strive to live my life with integrity. I have found that the greatest gift a father can give his children and his spouse is the gift of example. To be the type of man I want my sons to be; and the type of husband I want for my daughters – this is the compass I try to follow. I am far from perfect, but there is great satisfaction when I see my children continue with the traditions, patterns and morale decisions I have established in my life and in my home, and then to know, as a result, they are happy.
