Hi I'm Bill

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a member all of my life. I remember being baptized at the age of eight years old. My father baptized me. I served a mission for the church when I was 19 years old. That was 38 years ago. I worked hard teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ then and I have been faithful to His teachings ever since. I have spent many years in the U.S .Air Force. I have never had to compromise my faith or the standards I have embraced through the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints because of my military life. I have been richly blessed because of the gospel and having faith in Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by godly parents who were also member of the Mormon faith. They taught me the power of prayer. When I was young I would take the scriptures out into the desert and read on my own to determine the truth of what my parents were living and what I was asked to live. During those experiences my search was rewarded through the promptings of the Holy Ghost. That was a start in building my faith in my youth and many times since then the Holy Ghost has witnessed to me that what I am living is true. When I recieved the letter to serve a mission and finding out where I was to teach the restored Gospel Of Jesus Christ was a choice experience. I have read the Book of Mormon and the Bible and the Spirit of the Lord has witnessed to me the teachings are true. I love the Lord Jesus Christ! My Heavenly Father has blessed me in so many ways. I know he has led me in my life. I know they know who I am. I know Christ is my Savior.

How I live my faith

I have served the community because of the chuch in so many ways. Through church service I have helped with food drives for the community food banks. I have packaged beans and rice and other food provisions for the less fortunate. Volunteering through the Mormon church I have helped the Salvation Army. I have helpd served the youth of our communities in various responsibilities. I have helped the Boy Scouts of America find quality people to serve in that great organization. I have helped the single adult members of church both young and old find meaning in their lives. I have visited senior citizen homes and communities helping the old and frail find comfort in their latter years. I have been called upon to visit the lonely, the sick and the dying. I can't tell you how many times I have showed up with my truck or to load up a "U-Haul" to help families and individuals move their belongings from one home to another. Through The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I have served my Heavenly Father's children.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Bill
I mentioned previously I was taught to pray by my mother and father, they showed me the example of daily prayer. I have implemented that in my family. I have a strong belief in prayer. I know God answers prayers as he has answered mine so many times. I pray before I go to work and we pray as a family. I cannot imagine a day without it. I know that a sincere prayer will be answered. All we need to do is try! I know God listens! Prayer has blessed my life and has helped me in my realtionship with God. Show more Show less
