Hi I'm Ben

i'm from colorado. i love snowmobiling in the mountains. I'm addicted to rock music. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born in colorado to two mormon parents. I had two older brothers who were always good examples to me. I love going hiking and snowmobiling. I also enjoy music and going to rock concerts.

Why I am a Mormon

The blessings that have come to my life from this church have been amazing. Knowing that god still loves us, and has once again called a prophet to the earth is so comforting for me. Also, because of the miracles i've seen in my life, there is no way i can deny that this church is christ's restored church. It's helped me make important choices in my life because the doctrines and teachings of our church are pure. They haven't been corrupted by men. They are straight revelations from god. As i study the bible and the book of mormon, their teachings go hand in hand.

How I live my faith

Well, the way i live my faith is by serving other people. I'm currently on a mission for my church, which basically means i leave my home for two years, and go teach people about the church and how it's blessed my life. It's a great sacrifice for me and my family because first off, i dont get paid for my service. In fact, i pay to be on a mission. Second, i dont get to see my family or friends from home, which can be rough. But it helps me focus on helping the people where i'm serving. Getting to see other people come to know the truth that is found in this church is amazing.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

The husband and wife are equal partners in taking care of the family. Not necessarily that they have the same roles, but have an equal responsibility. The father is to take care of the physical needs of the family, and to lead the family in spiritual growth. The mother is to nurture and care for the children. Sometimes, those roles need to be changed, but in an ideal situation those are the roles of the parents. I'm so glad that my parents raised me in the gospel of jesus christ. I know that i would not be the person i am today if it weren't for them. My mother loved me, no matter what i did, and my father taught me. He taught me about jesus, how to find out if this church is true, and how to be a man. I am eternally grateful for what they have done, and for living the gospel of jesus christ to their fullest extent. Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

My question is then, why not have 12 apostles today? We are not replacing what the apostles of old told, just adding to what they taught. The world is a very different place then in the times of jesus christ. There are different trials today that the bible doesnt not necessarily address. These apostles can get revelation for these trials, on what god wants of us. Also, how wonderful does it sound, to have 12 men who can perform the same miracles as peter, james and john. To have the authority to heal the sick, give sight to the blind, and cast out devils. Personally, I know that god has called men to be apostles today, and that they lead and guide his people now.
