Hi I'm Erin

I'm a world traveling Mormon.

About Me

I'm a daughter, sister, aunt and friend. I work hard so I can play hard. I started taking French when I was in the 7th grade and stuck with it through college. I even moved to France all by my lonesome after graduating with my undergraduate. I have had great opportunities to see and experience many countries, cultures and people all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I WANT to be Mormon. I was raised in the Church, but definitely had to come to believe and understand its placement in my life on my own. My life has purpose - even if I don't know the full magnitude of what that purpose is - I sure am enjoying the journey of finding out. I can't do this on my own and what joy I have to know my Savior Jesus Christ is by my side each step of the way.

How I live my faith

For the past two years I have been serving as a leader over a women's organization. We participate in everything from serving the sick and needy, playing sports, book clubs, teaching lessons on Sunday and making home visits each month to strengthen friendships and leave a positive message.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Erin
We serve and are happy to help anyone in need. We are all walking through this life together - whether or not we believe and practice the same things. We each have an opportunity to be active participants in our community and upstanding citizens. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Erin
I certainly believe that God would not abandon us today because we live in more modern times than Moses. God loves us all equally. Show more Show less

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Erin
On Sundays we wear "Sunday attire" which consists of a suit and tie for men and skirt or dress for women. When we are at our church meetings we want to show respect and be in a mood of reverence so that we can better pay attention and appreciate the service. Casual dress can definitely change one's overall mood or presence. One would not be turned away by any means for wearing more casual attire. Show more Show less
