Hi I'm Reachel

I'm a fashion consultant, an adoptive mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I adore any combination of travel, vegetarian cooking, modern art, French cinema, Italian opera, poetry, gardening, my husband, and my baby daughter. During college I specialized in marketing and eventually earned in MBA. I worked in Internet Marketing for several years, but eventually decided I wanted to focus on my home and family. I quit my job and started doing freelance fashion consulting. I work from home writing, offering fashion advice, and raising my family. I love being a wife, mother, and woman and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

Don't get me wrong, being a Mormon can be a lot of work. But it's rewarding. I can't imagine surviving life without my faith. My parents were both converts to the church, and I am so grateful that they made the sacrifice to raise their children in the church. Because of them, I know who I am, where to go for help, and where I'm headed. I know there is a plan and that makes all the difference

How I live my faith

I'm blessed to be able to serve with the teenage girls in my ward. They are so strong and such examples to me. I meet with them every Sunday and every Wednesday night. We talk about how they can develop their talents, accomplish their goals, establish their own moral standards, and one day be married in the temple for not just time but all eternity.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Reachel
Men and women are inherently different but complementary. Men are ordained and recieve the priesthood to do service in the name of our Heavenly Father. Women are given the honor of motherhood. We are born to nurture and sustain our homes and children. This is a critical piece of our Heavenly Father' plan for us. Women are able to serve and lead in many ways in the church. The organizations that serve children under twelve, teenage girls, and adult women are all led by women. We counsel with men just as wives counsel with their husbands in the home, but we are responsible for the welfare of each of the precious spirits in our care. Show more Show less
