Hi I'm Steven

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am at the beginning of a new phase in my life. I have just finished college. I very recently became a dad. My daughter was born 6 weeks early, and had to stay in the NICU for a while as she finished growing. I moved with my family to a new city, far from friends and family to start my first real job. All of this in two weeks. I love riding my bike. I especially enjoy long, hilly rides. I love the challenge of doing things that are difficult for me.

Why I am a Mormon

With all of the recent changes in my life, and the constant changes in the world, I need something sure and certain. There is so much in this world that is fake, virtual, counterfeit. Among all this, I have found that Jesus Christ is real. His power to perform miracles, to heal, and to comfort is real, though it can be difficult to perceive. I have found that I can come closer to Jesus Christ and feel His power more through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints than any other way I have seen. The Holy Spirit has testified to me that this is His church. This knowledge gives me the direction and comfort I need every day of my life.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church, I have had the opportunity to teach young men (ages 12 and 13) the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I also had the opportunity to serve as a missionary in Brazil, teaching people and serving others in any way I could. I have been the recipient of many kind acts from others, and have been blessed so greatly by my Heavenly Father. It is a privilege for me to help others in whatever ways I can. I hope that Christ would approve of the way I live.
