Hi I'm Dr. Adam John

I have a PhD and am the Vice President of a College with campuses throughout the midwest. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the first college graduate from my family. I earned a PhD in Higher Education Leadership, a MBA, and a Bachelor's degree is Psychology. I currently serve as the Vice President of a College with campuses through out the midwest. My goal is to make a difference in the lives of those that attend my college and help them experience the same growth and confidence that I experienced as a result of graduating from college. My wife and I have two beautiful children; a 13 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. My daughter loves playing the cello and enjoys spending time with our cat. My son loves collecting and playing with legos and anything with superheros on it. My wife is an artist who loves to draw and paint. She creates art that is realistic and incredibly life like. In addition to my family I love sports. I enjoy watching and playing most sports - although my body can't quite keep up with my mind anymore :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have attended various churches in my life and while all of them spoke of Christ and his love for us, I never felt the warmth of Christ's love as strongly as I do at the Mormon church. There have been times in my life when I didn't always do the things I should, and I can say in all honesty that when I live the gospel of Jesus Christ, I am happier, things don't seem as hard, and overall I enjoy life more. It isn't always easy to do what's right but it's always worth it!

How I live my faith

I teach a weekly adult Sunday School class. I love teaching stories from the scriptures. I believe that I learn more each week preparing the lesson than my students do listening to me. I love to hear the scriptures come alive and remember that the people in these stories were human beings just like me. I try to feel what they feel and behave the way they did (although most times I come up short). I try to be the same during the week as I am on Sunday. I don't like it when people act one way at church and then act completely different during the rest of the week. I want people to know what I believe by watching my behavior. I believe if people have to ask me what I believe, I'm not doing a very good job of living my faith. Additionally, I enjoy providing service and volunteering my time whenever I am able.
