Hi I'm McKay

I'm grew up in southern Idaho, I like to fish and golf and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father and have a job doing research and development for a large aerospace company. I grew up in the Church and served a mission to Japan when I was 19 years old. That was an incredible experience! I love the Japanese people, they're very kind and take care of their families! I have a wonderful wife of 27 years and two kids. My oldest recently married and is working and attending a university near where I grew up. My youngest just moved out to the same town as my son and is attending night school and looking for a job. We're now "empty nesters" trying to adjust to the quiet!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and have had it as part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family has always been active though there have certainly been very difficult challenges for us along the way. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been the one thing that has helped guide me through the difficult times. I know if I can try to follow the example that Christ has set, that in the end things eventually work out okay! I've proven that to myself time and again. I'm glad to know Him and have Him as my friend.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being a little bit better each day. Oftentimes I don't do so well but I'm trying. I think if I can be a nicer person and more patient and caring, especially at home, that I'm making a difference in the world. I've found that for me when I read about Christ by studying scripture or reading books about Him, that it really helps me throughout the day in striving to be that nice, patient, caring person. Praying to God has made a big difference in life also and continues to be a great help.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

McKay
Absolutely! The reason I believe there is a prophet today is because God is the same today as He was in Noah's time and He'll be the same tomorrow and forever. He will always love His children and because He loves us God provides us a living prophet to help guide and direct His church in modern times. Show more Show less
