Hi I'm Blu

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently preparing to serve a mission for the Lord, something I have been preparing for ever since I was a boy, but something only recently I decided I wanted to do. I am working full time for an arborist focusing on plant health care among other things. I enjoy my job because it helps me wake up early, work hard all day and sleep good at night. I enjoy rock climbing, kayaking, biking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, snowshoeing, fishing, serving, singing, learning and building longboards, things with wood and with my hands. I enjoy doing these things because it allows me to spend time with my family and friends. The love for the outdoors is a common trend in my immediate family, but because I have sister who has the trial of having diabetes, muscular dystrophy, heart problems all which have contributed to confining her into a wheelchair we have been able to find a whole new scheme of things and ways of seeing the things God has created for us. Eating fruits, vegetables and meet and grains sparingly and/or in their season is something I am constantly trying to do to keep my body always feeling healthy. It is not always easy eating 'healthy' but it is an important enough thing to me that is a priority. Another thing I personally do to stay healthy is to always keep myself physically active. By daily working out at one of the local gyms I am able to stay physically fit and more stress free than I otherwise would be.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon because of the comfort and truths I have been able to find through my perseverance in this religion. Through my doubts about the truthfulness of this gospel I have been able to learn personally of the truthfulness of the Mormon religion. By this I have been able to gain a testimony through faith, preserving and patience that has been able to grow through the doubts and trials I have faced and am facing in my life currently. I am a Mormon not because it is easy, because it most certainly has it's challenges. I am a Mormon because of the conformations I have received through the Holy Ghost about the validity of this Church and its teachings.

How I live my faith

By simply living and doing what is required and doing what is expected and asked of me. I have found doing these simple things and by really living and being the person I say I am, I am able to be act and be the person I think a true Mormon should be. In a more direct aspect of how I live my faith I, along with others have the responsibility of contacting people in my congregation who are not attending regularly or attending at all. We also have the responsibility of assisting the missionaries in our area by attending appointments they make and assist with teaching lessons. I do the best I can to always set a righteous example, just as Christ did along with many other people. I accomplish this by striving to always be happy and to see things as our Father in Heaven sees them.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely! Although this is contrary to what many people think or believe; Mormons are Christians. The word Christian in the King James version of the Bible first appears in Acts 11:26 where it is talking about Barnabas and Saul, it says, 'And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch' meaning the disciples, who were followers of Christ, were some of the first to receive the title 'Christians.' The reason they received this title was because of there devotion to Christ or because they were his followers. So, according to the Bible the word 'Christian' is a disciple also known as a follower of Christ. A true Mormon is a follower of Christ, we worship, praise, aspire to be like and receive him as our savior and redeemer, all out life. So to once again answer the question 'Are Mormons Christians?' According to the knowledge given in the Bible about what a Christian is, Mormons are Christians. Show more Show less
