Hi I'm Brittnee.

I grew up without faith. I am now a wife and have a testimony. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young wife and college student. I am hoping to receive my Bachelors in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing. Even though this is a common degree, I find it will benefit me more as I strive to open my own business. I would like to become successful in my life by being happy and helping my family and friends. I work two jobs—student IT technician and Pampered Chef consultant. I chose these paths because they both suit my needs and talents. I have a husband and a wonderful dog named Scooby. I consider them my little family. Growing up, family was important and now I try to live for them and friends that I consider part of my family. I have a supportive family and am enjoying life with all of its opportunities. I do like mild sports such as hiking, biking, soccer, swimming, dancing and skiing. I live nowhere near a mountain, but recently learned how to ski in the slopes of Utah. It is invigorating and difficult, but I hope to go back often to practice.

Why I am a Mormon

I was first introduced to the LDS Faith by my grandfather and friend. I thought it was like every other church where you attend it in the early morning and go to Sunday school. I was eleven when I was baptized, but was not active until I became 13. I would always try to attend church with my friend or grandfather whenever I could, but never for the right reasons. As I progressed in the Young Women’s program I started to learn more and more about the LDS faith and was touched by this sensation that this church is different. I know I did it backwards, but I began investigating and attending on my own terms. I am a Mormon because I believe that this is ancient church Jesus Christ established on the earth centuries ago and is now restored to the earth. Joseph Smith is the prophet through which God has re-established the church on this earth today. I believe Jesus Christ is a living being and we are able to be forgiven of our sins because he died for us. Because of His sacrifice, we can repent and pray to our Father in Heaven and not be afraid to converse with him about our sins. I also believe that families can be together forever and that is the greatest blessing in the world. I know that because of my faith I will see my family members and children in our Father’s kingdom.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be a humble and faithful being. I try each day to let that light shine and be an example to my family and friends. I always seek my Father in Heaven’s guidance and pray to him when I need. I hope to bring others to the understanding that I have of my Father in Heaven. I teach a Sunday school class of three year olds and I try to help them understand the teachings of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I serve my fellow members of church and attend regularly. I follow the teachings and promptings of my Father in Heaven and love feeling the calm and reassuring spirit it brings me to follow him. I always try to keep my heart and mind open and live worthy to feel that spirit.
