Hi I'm Michael

I grew up in Utah. I served an LDS mission for 2 years in Guadalajara, Mexico. I'm married with one son. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Utah with my wife and son. I'm active in politics and blog at michaeljolley.net. I also enjoy playing ice hockey and spending time with my wonderful family.

Why I am a Mormon

I've come to know for myself that Jesus Christ is my Savior. The Book of Mormon has helped me come to that knowledge and I love that book. I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet, like the prophets in the bible, and that God revealed to him additional knowledge to help all mankind come unto Christ. Having this knowledge of Jesus Christ has blessed my life. I know I can find peace through Him and by following His teachings.

How I live my faith

I try hard to be like Jesus. He was always serving other people and trying to make their life better. I hope that I can be kind and loving to everyone, just like He was.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Not only does the Church as an entity help people of all faiths and backgrounds, but we as individual members try to help everyone. A few years ago I was able to go with a group of youth to Mississippi and Louisiana to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Jesus taught to love everyone, so that's what we try to do.
