Hi I'm Vanesa

I'm a wife and mother. I'm an athlete. I'm half tongan. I'm an Army brat. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of five kids. I am the middle child. I am half tongan. I love my family. I am an Army brat. I love all sports, but mostly volleyball. I am married to the love of my life. I am currently pregnant with our first child. I am a senior in college. I am a geography major, anthropology minor. I love to travel. I had a stroke when I was 15 years old. I love a lot of different types of music. I love to sing. I love to read. I love to teach. I love my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into this church, the decision to stay an active member was mine. In 2007, I moved out to Utah to go to college. My Freshman and Sophomore year were basically useless. I didn't really care about school or church. In fact, I stopped going to church altogether. If it wasn't for my Heavenly Father, my family, and my changed self, I don't think I'd be where I am today. I am a active member of this church. Without this Gospel, I am nothing. My faith and love for this Gospel, Heavenly Father, and everything around me has grown tremendously. My prayers have been answered through my diligence to this Gospel and my Heavenly Father. I have found the love of my life, and we are expecting our first child in January. I love this Gospel, and I love my Heavenly Father!

How I live my faith

Every chance I get to do some kind of service, I try to take that chance. Helping others has strengthened my faith in this church.

What is faith?

Vanesa
Faith is like a little seed. If planted, it will grow. Faith is YOUR willingness to trust in your heart's desires. Faith is believing, with all of your heart, in something. Faith is your ability to trust in Heavenly Father. Trust in Him to help you with your trials and tribulations. Faith is an action. Show more Show less
