Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a graduate student in an MBA/Macc program. I work for a cattle ranch. I love the outdoors and my wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I served a mission in the Montana Billings Mission. I loved every day of that experience. I'm currently in my last year pursuing and MBA/Macc joint graduate degree. I enjoy business and always looking to imporve myself, processes, and people. I love the outdoors and being active. I enjoy hunting, fishing, ranching, snowboarding, camping, wake boarding, rock climbing, canyoneering, long boarding, wake boarding, reading, learning, and woodworking. My wife means the world to me and we hope to soon begin the adventure of parenthood.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon but didn't experience my own personal conversion until i was 19 years old. I fell away when i was about 17 and was living according to the worlds standards. Because of the prayers of my mother and others the spirit of the Lord hit me one day like a ton of bricks. I knew what I was doing was not what my Father in Heaven would have me do. I wrestled internally with myself for weeks before the good in me overcame the natural man and I wanted to be right with God. Now I know for myself that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is a real tangible thing that can be accessed by anyone the key to access is repentance. The peace I felt from the healing power and forgiveness of the Atonement can be matched by nothing else in this life. I wanted nothing more than to share that with others. I was blessed to serve a full-time mission to the Montana Billings Mission where I was able to tell people about my experience and help them understand that the Atonement of Christ could in fact change their natures. Now I find joy in my daily life by striving for daily scripture study and personal communion with God. I strive to rely on him and I believe that I receive guidence and protection in return.

How I live my faith

I do my best everyday to learn the will of my Father in Heaven and then do all I can to live in accordance with what I know to be right. I constantly trying to align my will with the will of my Father in Heaven. I am truly free when I keep the commandments of my Eternal Father. He loves me and each of us. I live my faith by seeking to see others with compassion and love. Recognizing my own shortcomings and relying on Christ to help me change, affords me compassion and a no-judgment attitude towards others. Simple daily activities that invite the spirit are crucial in my life in order to stay on the path. I have found that daily consistency is much more powerful than random acts of faith. We become who we are one moment at a time and what I do in THIS moment matters in the future.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Jordan
We believe that all people on the earth are our spiritual brothers and sisters and as such we should strive to have positive relationships will everyone. We believe in helping all people in any way possible and also allow them to worship how, where and what they may. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Jordan
Faith is an action word. Faith comes from reading the scriptures and receiving a witness from the Holy Ghost, spirit to spirit, that what we read is true. Faith matures as we continue to feast on the scriptures and continue to move forward and take steps of faith. Like a muscle it grows as we exercise it and atrophies as we neglect to do so. Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Jordan
We proselyte because it is an exciting message that we have to share that the same church that Christ established on the earth when he himself was here, has been restored in its fullness along with the same authority. Show more Show less
