Hi I'm Mark

I became a member in October 1997. I am a Christian and believe in Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am married to Kimberley and we have 3 daughters. I am a Ward Mission Leader. I'm a financial Adviser and I enjoy assisting others prepare for retirement. I love to work in the yard and flower beds. God created all things and I feel that nature is beautiful. I like to spend my free time watching my daughters in their activities. My oldest daughter loves singing and acting. My middle daugther loves softball and my youngest loves volleyball. My oldest daughter has been married/sealed in the San Antonio, Texas Temple. My middle is in college and my youngest is still in school.

Why I am a Mormon

The LDS church strives daily to live according to Jesus Christ. The example he gave is a direct impact on the way our church lives each day. We have a living prophet, President Monson who leads and directs the church today. He receives direct revelations from Jesus Christ himself. I tell everyone who doubts my actions. You may feel that the church is not true but when I die and appear before Jesus Christ to be judged and if he tells me that the church was not correct. I will stand steadfast and rely upon my merits and love for him. I pray that he will see my determination to live the gospel. I will say, "I have lived my life according to thy doctrine and commandments". I love the Lord and will always act and stand as a witness. I want to share my testimony of the gospel to all who are interested. Our religion is all about God and Jesus Christ and it is important to me to share and learn from others. We believe that a marriage between a man and woman is eternal and does not end upon death. I and my family have been blessed. We study the scriptures daily and continue to learn more about God and Jesus. We spend each day trying to be more like Christ. I know because the Holy Ghost testifies to me.

How I live my faith

I live daily to be more Christ like. I attend my Sunday meetings and any other meetings necessary to assist in my spiritual growth. My daughters attended seminary each morning to start their day off spiritualy and institute while at college. We try to keep Sunday, the Sabbath day, Holy by doing church related and spiritual acitivties. I taught seminary for 2 years and it was the best service I have ever done for the chruch. I'm now a ward mission leader and I have the blessings to see others come unto Christ. I struggle daily just like everyone else but I know that when I renew my baptismal covenant with Heavenly Father each Sunday I can be forgive. I continue to strive to keep my baptismal covenants to stand as a witness of Christ at all times and keep the cammandments and always remember him.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The missionaries will share with you the doctrine and principles of the gospel. They will answer all your questions about the church and teach you about Heavenly Father's great plan of salvation, which allows all people the opportunity to return to him. Some people go to non-members to ask questions and they get false information. The best source of information about the church is at www.mormon.org and www.lds.org or the missionaries of the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Show more Show less
