Hi I'm Melanie

I'm a Mormon, a return missionary, and a big sister.

About Me

I just finished serving a Full time Mission in the Missouri Independence Mission. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I can't describe the joy that it brought me to serve the Lord and others for 18 months. I love having a big family and I wouldn't have it any other way. Some of my favorite things to do involve playing with my little brothers and my little sisters too. I think it is so weird that they seem to be growing up so fast and I don't seem to be growing at all. I always enjoy a good competion. I just can't get enough of sports; Rugby and Volleyball are some of my favorites. I love to learn new sports and skills and one day I hope to be a P.E. teacher and share that with hundreds of other people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that Christ is our Savior, that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that The Book of Mormon is an actual record of the inhabitants of the Americas and they did see Christ, and I believe that Thomas S. Monson is also a prophet of God. I wouldn't be a Mormon today if I had not seen that living the gospel really would and could change my life.

How I live my faith

Everyday I wake up and think about what my Father in Heaven wants me to be and what he would have me do. Although I am not perfect at following the promptings that he sends me through the spirit I do my best and I feel as though I have heavenly assistance.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

I don't partake of these things for two main reasons ! because it's a commandment from God that we should not and 2: because they are not good for you. Those two reasons are good enough for me. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only way to truly know is to live it and seek for divine confermation, aka: pray. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are stong, couragous, beautiful, spirit driven, and intellectual. Don't ever try to tell one that she is less than a Daughter of God because she KNOWS different. Show more Show less
