Hi I'm Paul Partridge

I'm a Mormon. I worked for the Los Angeles Police Department for 34 years. I'm now retired and loving life in Kentucky.

About Me

I'm a retired Los Angeles Police Sergeant now living near Louisville, Kentucky. My wife and I are empty-nesters. Our kids are scattered throughout the world and are all active in our church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but, like most, I have learned to love the teachings. When you think about it, your religeon should make you better as a person, and ours does that for me. Not in the sense that I'm better than others as much as just better in my own way and for my own purposes.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ, as taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, teaches and inspires men and women to be better in every meaningful way. You have seen this in people you have known who are "Mormons." It's not that they are better than anyone else... they just seem happier and more contented. If you have heard anything about our church that is negative, I ask only that you understand that any negativity is probably motivated by other than good. Please bring any questions or concerns to a member of the church, be it me, a missionary or another member. Then, I urge you to pray about it, then make up your own mind. One of the most important principals of the gospel is that people must have their agency to choose for themselves. One of this life's purposes is that we will learn to make good choices. Proper choices require knowledge. Get all the knowledge you can, including prayer to our Heavenly Father, before you decide anything important. My faith is my way of life. It has helped me treat others with respect and dignity and to appreciate them regardless of their backgrounds and circumstances.
